Are you an experienced Homecarer or do you feel you possess the correct skills to train to become a Homecarer?

Kentish Homecare are seeking Homecarers to work with service users (clients) within their own home, providing assistance with Personal Care (washing, dressing etc) and Domestic Housekeeping support (cleaning, shopping etc)

To work for us, you MUST be committed to providing the very highest quality of care to our service users. In return, we offer excellent hourly rates of pay (probably the best in the area) including paid annual leave and SSP. Additionally, we can offer flexible working hours.

Your enthusiasm and willingness to work early mornings, evenings and some weekends will improve improve your working opportunities. We also provide ongoing training and development for all of our staff encouraging them to continually enhance their Social Care skills and qualifications.

Established for over 25yrs, Kentish Homecare is based in Beckenham (BR3) and is a highly reputable homecare provider offerring both Personal homecare and Domestic Housekeeping services across The London Borough of Bromley.

Minimum Job Requirements
YOU MUST:
1/ Be over 18yrs of age.
2/ Have the desire to provide a high standard of care to our service users.
3/ Be a car driver holding a current valid UK driving licence.
4/ Be located within or close to our working coverage are of The London Brough of Bromley.
5/ Be willing to attend regular training. If you do not possess an NVQ2 in Social Care (or equivalent), you will be required to undertake the training within 6 months of registering with our company. Full support is provided within the organisation.
6/ Be a strong Team Player.

Previous experience of working within a social care enviroment is clearly disireable but not essential as life experience and personal attributes will be assessed at interview.

Our Service Users “Charter of Rights”

At Kentish Homecare, we respect the right of each of our service users to lead as independent and fulfilling life as possible. We have set out a Service User’s Charter of Rights which we believe should be the minimum entitlement for each of our service users. Our Care Staff are sensitive to, and will observe, the following standards which we have identified:

It is the right of each service user to make informed choices and to take risks; there is a certain amount of risk associated with each aspect of our lives.
Each service user is an individual with individual needs, wants and desires. This individuality will be recognised and respected to ensure promotion and maintenance of the service user’s dignity and self-worth.
Each service user, as an individual, has the right to fulfil his/her potential for personal choice of lifestyle and opportunities.
Each service user has the right to a Care Service that does not discriminate on the basis of race or ethnic origin, creed, colour, religion, political affiliation, disability or impairments, marital status, parenthood, sexual gender or sexual orientation.
Each service user has the right to refuse anybody entry to their home. This will include the Care Worker where the service user feels an element of incompatibility as he / she perceives it.
Each service user has the right of access to their personal Care Records. He/she has the right to be consulted with respect to the Care Services provided and to be involved in on-going reviews of the same. Where, for reasons of mental frailty, the service user is unable to make his/her wishes known directly, an appointed advocate may fulfil this purpose.
Each service user has the right to details of the Contract with respect to the Care Services offered, including the costs involved.
Each service user has the right to be assured that no personal or confidential information concerning their affairs will be disclosed to a third party without their express permission.
Each service user has the right to complain about any element of the Care Service, and to do so without fear of any intimidation, recrimination or reprisals.
Each service user has the right to be informed in advance of any changes in hours of duty by the Care Worker, or even a change in the Care Worker, as a result of emergencies. The service user retains the right not to accept substitute Care Workers into their home, though they will be informed of the implications of this with respect to the Organisation being unable to provide continuity of care.

We are currently recruiting 24 hour / Live-in care workers and need caring, compassionate, flexible and reliable individuals to work with adults living in their own homes across The London Borough of Bromley.

Live-in care is the preferred option for many people who wish to remain at home but cannot cope alone.

We are looking for live-in carers to work and live-in clients own homes providing companionship, personal care, including assistance getting in and out of bed, dressing, washing, shaving, shopping, cooking, washing and ironing. Experience desirable but not essential.

In return we offer:
